Teca Restaurant and Bar

We were there on 12/28 for my wedding rehearsal dinner! It was the most perfect venue for a rehearsal dinner. We were in the upstairs room, and had our own bar and own bathrooms, so that worked out wonderfully. We had an open bar, quite a few passed appetizers, salads, pasta, two food options (salmon and short rib) and tiramisu! Everything food wise was phenomenal that we had and the service was perfect! I’m a picky eater so I got the chicken Parmesan as my entree and it was excellent. My husband and I and our families (and the guests) cannot wait to be back to enjoy more of Teca’s food! Teca has been one of our favorites over the past 15 years. But not anymore, the restaurant has the same nice vibe but the quality has hit an all time low while at the same time it’s more expensive than ever! Last night my wife and I went to Teca our bill was $135, we had no drinks (doing dry January) 2 club soda’s, one appetizer special, my wife had the chicken pasta special for $30 which was average best and the serving size was small, I had the fish special, Dover sole one of my favorites. I love Dover sole because it’s supposed to be mild and sweet and not at all fishy if fresh. Unfortunately it wasn’t fresh it had a distinct flavor of fish which was a huge disappointment considering they charged $58 for the dish! There are many other great choices in West Chester you can choose from and not get taken advantage of, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

A surprise birthday party held on the 2nd floor and what a stunning venue. All the family and friends waited upstairs as we were ushered by the lovely waitress into the elevator. She was “in” on the surprise and did a wonderful job of making sure everything fell into place. The elevator doors opened and the roar of S U R P R I S E echoed through the room with 30+ beaming faces at the guests of honour. After hugs and the excitement of seeing family and friends together, the bar was open and food was served. A simple light lunch of pasta, salad and chicken and plenty of it. Staff came around and filled our glasses with white or champagne regularly. Speeches, dancing and plenty of photos. All of this made a wonderful gathering and most grateful to the Teca staff for helping this come together. Also, there is also good seating outside which at this time of year, a very pleasant setting at this time of year. Inside are booths and a lovely inviting atmosphere with the most stunning lighting. Notes: wheelchair accessible, toilets on both floors, dietaries catered for if you let staff know, good range of drinks at the bar, children welcome, plenty of parking. Please put this one on your bucket list to try.

My friends and I were not very happy when we got the check and saw the prices on the menu were not at all accurate. Our dinners were $5 more than what was said on the menu. We didn’t mind paying that much, but the menus should have updated prices or the server should have at least said something. The menu said $19 and it was actually $24. That is a pretty large price difference. Just shocked they changed the prices that drastically and didn’t bother to fix the menus.

A quick note to let you know how lovely your space was for the bridal shower we hosted with you last Saturday. It was perfect and so nice for our needs. The food was delicious and Joe, our host/bartender, couldn't have been more attentive and helpful!! Your help and suggestions to make the event successful was greatly appreciated. BP

Second visit: Went back with a friend, sat outside, and enjoyed another fantastic meal at Teca. Espresso martini was delicious. Porcini mushroom raviolis with scallops in brandy-cream sauce, it was wow. First review: Tapas style this evening, sitting at the bar. Burrata, flatbread, and affettati misti with two well-made dirty martinis… just right. The atmosphere was lively and we finished it with the flourless chocolate cake and cappuccino. Great date night!
